What you will do when you need data form a pc where is usb is write-protected ???
You have to make a boot able USB copy of BT series linux or u can use Kali Linux also .
Make the boot able USB run before any OS run ... press F2 or F9 ... give first preference to ur USB .... for go for Live mode .... wait for 10 sec ... type "startx".
In Case of Ubuntu you need to go for "Try Ubuntu" option and there you no need to type "startx"
You will have access to that PC. no password nothing needed. Now you can copy all the data from HD without any problem.
